VETO ALERT

AB98 would have officially proclaimed April 10th as “Dolores Huerta Day” honoring a civil rights advocate and her lifelong fight for justice, dignity, and equality in the U.S.

Governor Lombardo vetoed it, dismissing the legacy of Dolores Huerta and the impact her work has had on the Latino community and beyond.

This bill will be back next session, because our history, our leaders, and our stories deserve to be recognized.

Equal Pay Matters

Did you know that women must work well into the year to earn what men earned last year? Each group faces a different gap:

  • Women: March 25
  • Asian Women: April 7
  • Moms: May 6
  • LGBTQIA+: June 17
  • Black Women: July 10
  • Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Women: August 28
  • Latina Women: October 8
  • Disabled Women: October 23
  • Native Women: November 18

Pay equity isn’t just a women’s issue—it’s an economic justice issue. Let’s keep pushing for fair wages for everyone
