In Nevada, the math just doesn’t add up:
- To afford a 2-bedroom apartment, you need to earn $33.63/hr
- For a 1-bedroom, it’s $28.17/hr
But average wages in our state fall far short:
- Black men: $21.25/hr
- Black women: $22.60/hr
- Latino men: $19.95/hr
- Latino women: $22.23/hr
- White men: $25.31/hr
- White women: $30.53/hr
High rents + insufficient wages = a housing crisis.
Nevada families shouldn’t have to choose between rent, food, or medicine. It’s time for policies that ensure fair wages and affordable housing for all.
