Nevadans need investment and not cuts

As grocery prices continue to rise, food support for families is being gutted. Under the guise of “reducing government fraud,” these cuts will leave thousands of families scrambling to keep food on the table.

In Nevada alone, more than 133,000 people are at risk of losing benefits because of the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill.

And it gets worse: starting in 2027, the state’s share of SNAP costs will jump by 50% as the federal government reduces its coverage—placing an enormous burden on Nevada’s budget and families who rely on these programs.

Now is the time to raise our voices: protecting SNAP means protecting families, children, seniors, and neighbors from hunger.
