Out of Reach

In Nevada, the math just doesn’t add up:

  • To afford a 2-bedroom apartment, you need to earn $33.63/hr
  • For a 1-bedroom, it’s $28.17/hr

But average wages in our state fall far short:

  • Black men: $21.25/hr
  • Black women: $22.60/hr
  • Latino men: $19.95/hr
  • Latino women: $22.23/hr
  • White men: $25.31/hr
  • White women: $30.53/hr

High rents + insufficient wages = a housing crisis.

Nevada families shouldn’t have to choose between rent, food, or medicine. It’s time for policies that ensure fair wages and affordable housing for all.

Are wages keeping pace with the cost of housing in your community?

Nevada is Getting Hotter

It’s hotter every year. We feel it in our homes, our streets, our bodies. And while some are able to AC, some of our elders are left in sweltering apartments.

This isn’t just a weather problem. It’s a justice problem.

In the face of heat and climate disaster, our faith calls us to create refuge, to turn our congregations into cooling shelters, our neighborhoods into hubs of care.

Love looks like showing up.

Love looks like solar panels and shade trees and more than survival.

Love looks like action
