LEAN INTO 2026: ELECTION DAY RESOURCES

A practical guide for voters and the neighbors helping them prepare.

Voting in person

Find your Election Day voting location through the official Nevada election site or your county election office. Check the location and hours before you leave.

  • If you are in line when polls close at 7:00 p.m., stay in line. You may still vote.
  • If you need to register or update your address, Nevada offers same-day registration at an in-person voting location. Bring a valid Nevada driver’s license, Nevada DMV ID, or tribal ID.
  • If your ID does not show your current residence, check with your county election office about acceptable proof of residency.

Returning a mail ballot

Complete your ballot, place it in the return envelope, and sign the outside of the envelope. On Election Day, hand-deliver it to an official drop box in your county before polls close at 7:00 p.m. A ballot sent through the U.S. Mail must be postmarked by Election Day and received by the county by 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7.

  • If you still have your ballot on Election Day, use an official drop box instead of relying on last-day mail.
  • Track your ballot and watch for a notice from your county. If a signature issue is flagged, contact your county election office promptly. The statewide cure deadline is 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 9.
